The Diia app is already used by 19.4 million Ukrainians. It has been installed 44 million times. The team is working in turbo mode to digitalize 100% of popular public services.

Audience of the Diia
According to him, 19.4 million are unique IDs that have logged into the system at least once. The number of installations is much higher – more than 44 million – because people change or lose their smartphones, uninstall and reinstall applications. But there are more than 4 million more accounts on the Diia portal.
Interestingly, the audience over the age of 55 makes up 23%. These people also use the available functions: they have applied for a light bulb exchange, received eSupport, and downloaded COVID certificates.
“It’s important for us to see this, because we are focused on a mobile-first story and want to make an app that is convenient for everyone,” says Banik.
The Diia team
Two teams are working in tandem on the Diia app. These are the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the state-owned enterprise (SOE) Diia.
“Diia is primarily about the work that the user does not see and should not see – laws and regulations. It is a team of about 10 people who have to make sure that everything works properly in the app, in accordance with the current legislation.
“The team I lead is responsible for the development of electronic services. It is about 30 people,” adds the representative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
The SOE has a product history, and they are responsible for the interface and operation of Diia in the smartphone. About 30 people are responsible for development. In total, less than a hundred.
