Denza, BYD’s premium electric vehicle brand, has announced the first major Over-The-Air (OTA) update for its Z9S model. This significant update brings a suite of new features aimed at enhancing the user experience, most notably the integration of the AI super intelligent agent, ‘Didi Xia’.
AI Super Intelligent Agent ‘Didi Xia’ Debuts
The star of this OTA update is the AI super intelligent agent, dubbed ‘Didi Xia’. Previously unveiled by BYD in May 2026 during its ‘Dare to Be’ intelligent strategy conference, ‘Didi Xia’ is designed to operate with human-like logic. It is capable of controlling vehicle functions based on user requests and can understand and execute complex, multi-step commands. Furthermore, ‘Didi Xia’ can integrate with the user’s mobile phone ecosystem, promising a more connected and intuitive in-car experience.
New Features and Content
Beyond the AI assistant, the Denza Z9S update includes several other enhancements:
- Celebrity Voice Prompts: The update introduces scenario broadcasts featuring brand ambassador Wang Leehom, adding a personalized touch to navigation and vehicle information. Wang Leehom was appointed as the global brand ambassador for Denza on May 15, 2026, and attended the launch event for the Denza N9 fast-charging version shortly after.
- Magnetic Doll Theme Linkage: A new feature that likely involves interactive themes or content related to magnetic dolls, adding a playful element to the vehicle’s interface.
- Micless K-Song Function: This allows occupants to enjoy karaoke sessions within the vehicle without the need for a separate microphone, leveraging the car’s built-in audio system.
- AI Daily Report: A new AI-powered feature that provides users with a summary of relevant information or updates each day.
