Google has officially unveiled the new Fitbit Edge, a fitness tracker designed for active users. The device boasts a vibrant AMOLED touchscreen, integrated GPS, and an impressive battery life of up to one week on a single charge. It will be available in four stylish color options: silver, gray, gold, and black, priced at €179.99 (approximately ¥1,350 CNY).

Key Features for Fitness Enthusiasts

The Fitbit Edge is equipped with a 1.34-inch AMOLED touchscreen display that offers an always-on option, ensuring users can check the time and essential stats at a glance. This makes it a practical companion for workouts and daily wear.

Advanced Health and Activity Tracking

Designed with fitness in mind, the Fitbit Edge includes a comprehensive suite of sensors. Its built-in GPS module allows users to accurately track their running, cycling, and other outdoor activities without needing to carry their smartphone. For deeper health insights, the tracker features a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor, skin temperature sensor, and electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities. The device has a 65mAh battery and is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, making it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities.

Smart Functionality Beyond Fitness

While primarily focused on fitness and health, the Fitbit Edge also offers essential smart features. Users can receive notifications, control their smartphone’s music playback, and set alarms and timers directly from their wrist. Although it doesn’t possess the full smart capabilities of a smartwatch, these features add convenience to the user’s daily routine.
