JGINYUE has officially launched its new expansion card, the Xscale.io, built on the AMD B650 chipset (Promontory 21). This innovative card aims to significantly enhance storage and connectivity options for compatible motherboards.

Extensive Storage Capabilities

The Xscale.io card boasts an impressive four M.2 SSD slots. Two of these slots are located on the front of the card and support PCIe Gen4 x4 speeds, offering blazing-fast performance for NVMe SSDs. The rear of the card features two additional M.2 slots, with one supporting PCIe Gen3 x2 and the other PCIe Gen3 x1, providing flexibility for various storage needs and drive types.

Enhanced Connectivity Options

Beyond its storage prowess, the Xscale.io card significantly expands a system’s connectivity. It includes a 2.5GbE RJ-45 port for high-speed wired networking, delivering faster and more stable internet connections compared to standard Gigabit Ethernet.

For peripheral connectivity, the card offers a generous array of USB ports. Users will find one USB-A port with 10Gbps speeds and another USB-C port also capable of 10Gbps. Additionally, the card provides two internal USB headers, each supporting speeds of 480Mbps, allowing for further expansion of USB devices.

Power and Cooling

To ensure reliable operation, especially with multiple high-speed devices, the Xscale.io card includes a PCIe 6-pin power connector. It also features a 4-Pin fan header for an unregulatable fan, offering a basic cooling solution for components connected to the expansion card.

Pricing and Future Plans

The initial release of the JGINYUE Xscale.io is priced at 388 Yuan. JGINYUE has also revealed plans for future iterations of the expansion card. A subsequent model will feature an upgraded USB-C port capable of 20Gbps speeds. Furthermore, the company is planning to release a 10GbE networking version and a half-height variant for systems with limited chassis space.

This release from JGINYUE provides a compelling solution for users looking to upgrade their B650-based systems with more M.2 storage and advanced networking and USB connectivity without needing to replace their entire motherboard.
