Samsung continues its trend of price adjustments for its smartphone lineup, now focusing on the popular and more affordable Galaxy A series. Following recent changes to the Galaxy S lineup, the South Korean tech giant has simultaneously updated pricing for several key Galaxy A models.

Price Increases in China

Effective October 2, Samsung’s official website in China shows significant price changes for the Galaxy A57. The base configuration, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, now retails for 3,799 yuan, up from the previous 3,299 yuan. This marks an increase of 500 yuan, or approximately 15.2%.

The higher-tier version, equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, has also seen a price hike. Its cost has risen from 3,699 yuan to 4,399 yuan, a jump of 700 yuan, representing a 18.9% increase.

Global Price Adjustments

The price hikes are not confined to the Chinese market. As reported by Android Headline, Samsung has also revised the pricing for its Galaxy A57, A37, A27, and A17 smartphones in the United States and other international markets. The largest price increase observed globally reached 12.96%.

Detailed Price Increases on International Markets:

Budget Segment Leader Sees Significant Rise

The Galaxy A17 5G, the most accessible model in the Galaxy A lineup, has attracted particular attention. Launched in January 2026 with an initial price of $199.99, its price has steadily climbed over the past few months to $249.99, and now stands at $269.99.

Compared to its launch price of $199.99, the Galaxy A17 5G has seen an overall price increase of approximately 35%, amounting to a $70 rise.

This pricing trend suggests a general upward movement in the cost of mobile devices, even within the budget segment, which could influence consumer purchasing decisions.
