At the 2026 QiYuan Global Product Launch Conference, QiYuan Robotics unveiled two new humanoid robots: the Q1 and the T1. These innovative machines, developed under the QiYuan brand by Shangwei QiYuan, a subsidiary of Shangwei New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., mark a significant step into the consumer personal robotics market.
Meet the QiYuan Q1: Your Personal, Customizable Companion
The QiYuan Q1 is positioned as the “world’s first personal robot,” designed with a strong emphasis on customization. Standing at 88 centimeters tall, it’s compact enough to fit into a backpack when folded. Users have the freedom to design interactive actions, modify the robot’s appearance through 3D printing, and freely adjust its aesthetic style, personality traits, movement postures, and even voice characteristics. This level of personalization aims to make the Q1 a truly unique companion for each user.
The QiYuan T1: A Master of Transformation
Adding another layer of versatility, the QiYuan T1 is touted as the “world’s first transformable personal robot.” It boasts the unique ability to switch between a wheeled-humanoid form and a quadrupedal (four-legged) stance. This adaptability allows the T1 to navigate diverse environments and perform a wider range of tasks, showcasing advanced mechanical engineering and flexible design.
Key Technological Innovations
Both robots benefit from QiYuan’s proprietary “egg joint” technology. This revolutionary component is the smallest in the industry for mass production, weighing just 260 grams and measuring 47 millimeters in diameter. Despite its compact size, it achieves a peak torque density of 85 N·m/kg, enabling fluid and powerful movements in the robots.
Strategic Partnership with Tencent Cloud
In a significant move, QiYuan Robotics has partnered with Tencent Cloud. The QiYuan Q1 and T1 robots will be integrated with Tencent’s WorkBuddy service. This collaboration makes QiYuan the first embodied intelligence company to connect with WorkBuddy, further enhancing the robots’ capabilities and potential applications, particularly in professional and collaborative contexts.
Market Entry and Availability
The announcement follows QiYuan’s entry into the personal robotics sector, which was confirmed by co-founder and CTO Peng Zhihui (also known as ‘Zhihui Jun’) in late 2025. Pre-orders for both the Q1 and T1 models commenced on August 23rd, signaling the company’s readiness to bring these advanced personal robots to consumers.
The launch of the QiYuan Q1 and T1 represents a bold vision for the future of personal robotics, emphasizing user customization, versatile form factors, and integration with leading cloud services. The company’s focus on miniaturized, high-performance components combined with a flexible, user-centric design approach positions QiYuan as a noteworthy player in the rapidly evolving robotics landscape.
