Get ready for a smartphone revolution! Nubia is set to launch the NaviX Ultra on September 16th, boldly claiming the title of the world’s first AI smart smartphone. Pre-orders are already live across major e-commerce platforms, signaling strong anticipation for this groundbreaking device.

A Camera Powerhouse with AI Smarts

The NaviX Ultra boasts an impressive flagship triple-camera system headlined by a massive 200-megapixel main sensor. While specific AI integration details are still emerging, the “AI smart smartphone” moniker suggests a significant leap in intelligent photography and device functionality. This camera prowess is expected to be complemented by a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens, according to earlier reports. For selfies and video calls, a 50-megapixel front-facing camera is anticipated.

Cutting-Edge Internals and Design

Under the hood, the NaviX Ultra is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship processor, promising top-tier performance. Users can also expect speedy charging with support for 90W or 100W wired fast charging, alongside wireless charging capabilities.

Nubia has also focused on advanced cooling and battery technology. The device features a “Galaxy Cold Control Cooling System” with a 7100mm² stereo heat dissipation VC, ensuring sustained performance during demanding tasks. Powering the device is a substantial 7100mAh “Nanhai Battery” (5th generation), all packed into a remarkably slim 7.62mm chassis. The “Star Dome All-Domain Communication System” with a full-link network communication enhancement engine is also set to provide robust connectivity.

Domestic DRAM Breakthrough

A significant highlight of the NaviX Ultra is its adoption of domestically produced LPDDR5X memory from Changxin (CXMT). This memory boasts a remarkable speed of 10667Mbps. Nubia and CXMT jointly announced this collaboration on September 4th, emphasizing that this marks the first mass application of high-speed domestic 10667Mbps LPDDR5X chips. This milestone signifies China’s entry into the commercial application phase for top-tier mobile DRAM.

A Collaborative Effort

The development of the Nubia NaviX Ultra appears to be a significant collaborative effort. It is reportedly co-developed by ZTE and ByteDance, featuring the Doubao mobile assistant, and is being referred to as the “Doubao Phone 2nd Generation.” The impressive array of partners extends to industry leaders such as Qualcomm, BOE, CXMT, Samsung Semiconductor, and Goodix Technology, underscoring the ambition and scale of this project.

With its combination of advanced AI features, a high-resolution camera system, powerful internals, and significant domestic component integration, the Nubia NaviX Ultra is poised to make a significant impact on the smartphone market. The September 16th launch date will be eagerly awaited by tech enthusiasts worldwide.
