Chery is set to launch its brand new electric mini-car, the QQ3 Modern Edition, on September 22nd. This special version of the QQ3 electric car has already garnered attention, having opened for pre-orders with a small deposit of 99 yuan during the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show.
Retro Design Meets Modern EV Tech
The upcoming QQ3 Modern Edition boasts a distinctive retro exterior design. Key visual elements include biscuit-shaped wheels, minimalist white decals, and body-colored accents around the vehicle, complemented by added chrome trim. Inside, the cabin continues the stylish theme with “houndstooth” patterned seats, contrasting woven accents, and a luxurious velvet headliner.
Dual Powertrain Options and Impressive Range
Under the hood, the new QQ3 Modern Edition will feature a rear-wheel-drive electric powertrain, offering two distinct performance options. Customers can choose between a motor delivering a maximum power of 58kW and 115Nm of torque, or a more potent version with 90kW of power and 115Nm of torque.
All models will come standard with Rhinoceros batteries, available in two capacities: 29.48kWh and 41.28kWh. These battery options provide CLTC pure electric cruising ranges of 310km and 420km, respectively. The vehicle supports fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 30% to 80% in under 16.5 minutes. Additionally, it includes a standard 6.6kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external discharge function.
Comfort and Handling
In terms of chassis configuration, the new QQ3 Modern Edition is equipped with a multi-link independent suspension at the rear, contributing to a more comfortable ride. The car also boasts a minimal turning radius of just 5.2 meters, enhancing its maneuverability in urban environments.
This launch follows the earlier introduction of the Chery QQ3 EV pure electric mini-car, which was available starting at 58,900 yuan.
