In October, the number of Internet users in Ukraine (the number of unique users who visited more than one Web page during a month, and users who got on the Internet during the month and the previous month) fell by 4.6% or 0.935 million people to 19.518 million people, as compared with September.
Ukrainian News learned this from a report of the Bigmir-Internet company (bigmir-internet.com.ua), the wording of which was made available to the agency.
The average weekly audience of the Ukrainian Internet rose by 0.2% or 0.014 million users in October to 8.638 million users, as compared with September.
The average daily audience grew by 8.3% or 0.262 to 3.434 million users in October against September.
The average time spent by the Ukrainian users on Web sites in October fell by 2.1% and made up 2.85 minutes.
The total time spent by the Ukrainian users on Web sites increased in October by 17.6%, to 3.980 billion minutes.
Geographically, the largest Internet audience was recorded in Kyiv, which accounted for 54.99% of the total number of users in October.
Users from other big cities and regions like Donetsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Crimea and Luhansk accounted for 33.07% in October.
The lowest number of the Internet users in October was registered in Lutsk, Zhytomyr and Ivano-Frankivsk regions with 0.27%, 0.23%, and 0.14% of the total audience in Ukraine respectively and 11.26% for other regions.
The most popular browser used by the Ukrainian users in October, was Mozilla Firefox (28.5% of users).
Among search engines, via which Ukrainian websites were accessed, the October leader was google.com (55.7% of all accesses).
In the ranking of search queries in October, were leading “autobazar”, “ukr.net”, “weather”, “translator” and “football”.
According to the data of the Bigmir-Internet, in September, the number of Internet users in Ukraine made up 20.453 million people
