Honor has officially announced the schedule for its 2026 Global Developer Conference, set to take place in Shenzhen on September 15th. A key highlight of the event will be the unveiling of MagicOS 11, slated for release on the evening of the same day.
MagicOS 11 Takes Center Stage
The main forum, commencing at 7:00 PM (19:00), will feature the premiere of MagicOS 11. Honor is touting this as the industry’s first mobile operating system to truly implement a system-level Agent Harness for commercial use. This indicates a significant leap forward in AI integration and system-level capabilities for Honor devices.
Diverse Sub-Forums Cover a Wide Range of Topics
Leading up to the main event, the conference will host a variety of specialized sub-forums. From 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, attendees can participate in discussions on content distribution, Honor’s Tengong industry solutions, smart education, and sports health technology. A “MagicOS Creator Carnival” is also scheduled, suggesting an interactive session for developers and enthusiasts.
The afternoon sessions, running from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, will delve into an even broader spectrum of topics. These include dedicated forums for AI, fluid and transparent design (referred to as “Flowing Light and Transparency”), interconnectivity, seamlessness, smart interaction experiences, business services, gaming, overseas markets, smart mobility, and whole-house intelligence.

MagicOS 11 promises significant storage savings, potentially freeing up to 60GB. This will be achieved through lossless compression of data and automatic cleaning of redundant files. Additionally, infrequently used applications will be managed to maximize available storage space.
Enhanced User Experience (UX)
- Liquid Glass Design: A new “liquid glass” aesthetic will offer a transparent and fluid visual experience throughout the system.
- Flowing Light Design: The system will feature a consistent “flowing light” visual theme.

Improved Charging Experience
Users can expect an enhanced charging experience with support for multiple fast-charging protocols, aiming to alleviate charging anxiety. Wireless charging is also said to be more stable and efficient.
Advanced Communication Capabilities
The new OS will feature the “Hongyan AI Cloud Map” for optimal network selection, improving internet experience in weak network conditions. Expect smoother performance when frequently moving in and out of elevators, and a more stable experience for live streaming and short videos on platforms like Douyin.
Furthermore, MagicOS 11 will support simultaneous connection of two Bluetooth headsets to a single device.
System Fluidity and Performance
A major focus is on system smoothness. MagicOS 11 introduces the “Android First Liquid Animation,” built on a new physical model with adjustable parameters for rebound and chain-like modes. This aims to provide a seamless, “one-screen-to-another” experience across the system and third-party applications. Honor claims an overall system smoothness improvement of over 20% across its entire device lineup.
Next-Generation Imaging
The update will also bring new imaging capabilities, including “4K Live Recording and Shooting,” allowing users to record videos and generate “live” content simultaneously.
