Huawei has officially launched the Pura X View, a new flat-panel smartphone featuring a distinctive 16:9.5 aspect ratio display. The device was unveiled at the Huawei Hongmeng HarmonyOS 7 and HUAWEI Mate XT 2 event. Pre-orders are set to begin on September 9th at 10:08 AM, with special offers for students.
Pricing and Storage Options
The Huawei Pura X View will be available in three configurations:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: 5999 Yuan
- 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage: 6999 Yuan
- 12GB RAM + 1TB Storage: 8499 Yuan
Additionally, Huawei is offering optional accessories, including a vegan leather magnetic phone case priced at 129 Yuan and a pen-holder style phone case for 469 Yuan.
Design and Display
The Pura X View boasts a slim profile with a thickness of approximately 6.68mm and a weight of about 201g. It comes in four color options: Yueying Red, Linen Gray, Zero Degree White, and Phantom Night Black. The front of the device features a 2232×1320 resolution 16:9.5 aspect ratio panel. A notable design element is its uniform 1.05mm bezels on all four sides. The display supports 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and can reach a peak brightness of 6500 nits.
Camera Capabilities
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the camera setup on the Pura X View. It includes an industry-exclusive 200-megapixel RYYB Ultra-Spectrum main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and an F/1.8 aperture. Complementing this are a Maple Leaf Original Color camera, a 50-megapixel Ultra-Spectrum periscope telephoto lens, and a 112-degree ultra-wide-angle lens. The device also offers features like AI Pose Recommendation and 3D Dynamic Photos.
User Experience and Software
Huawei has tailored the user experience around the Pura X View’s wider screen format, introducing specialized modes for enhanced viewing, reading, gaming, and office tasks. The smartphone comes pre-installed with the HarmonyOS 7 operating system. A key new feature is the Huawei Share remote sending function, allowing users to share content such as pictures, videos, documents, and compressed files with contacts who are not physically present.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Huawei Pura X View is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor. It is equipped with an integrated VC cooling system and an annular array antenna for improved connectivity. The device houses a substantial 7000mAh silicon-negative electrode battery and features a 4-microphone array.
