Logitech G is set to launch new special edition versions of its popular PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 wireless gaming mice, dubbed the ‘GPW4 Puppy’ (PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c SE) and ‘GPW4 Eagle Eye’ (PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX SE). Hungarian retailer iPon has already listed these SE variants on its website, offering a glimpse into what to expect from these updated peripherals.

Key Differences in SE Editions

The most notable change in both the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c SE and PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX SE is the inclusion of a 1kHz polling rate receiver. This is a step down from the standard versions of the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2, which feature receivers capable of an 8kHz polling rate. This change might impact the maximum responsiveness of the mice, although a 1kHz polling rate is still considered standard for high-performance gaming.

The pricing for both SE models is set at 54,990 Hungarian Forint, which is approximately 1,160.29 Chinese Yuan.

Weight and Battery Life Adjustments

There are also slight differences in weight and battery life compared to the original models:

  • PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c SE: Weighs 53g and offers 88 hours of continuous use on a single charge. The original PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2c weighed 51g and had 95 hours of battery life.
  • PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX SE: Maintains the 60g weight but also sees a reduction in battery life to 88 hours from the original 95 hours.

It remains unclear whether these adjustments are part of a new ‘SE’ customization or a consequence of new EU battery regulations. Logitech G has yet to provide an official statement clarifying the exact reasons behind these specifications.

Official Launch and Further Announcements

Logitech G is expected to officially unveil these new SE mice at the upcoming PLAY 2026 event, scheduled for September 23rd-24th. Alongside the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SE editions, the company is also anticipated to launch the PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE mouse during the same event. This suggests a busy period for Logitech G as it looks to refresh its high-performance gaming peripheral lineup.

Gamers and esports enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on the PLAY 2026 event for the official details and availability of these new Logitech G products. The shift to a 1kHz receiver in the SE models might appeal to users who prioritize certain aesthetic or minor feature changes over the absolute highest polling rates, or it could be a necessary adaptation to new regulatory landscapes.
