In an impressive display of humanoid robotic prowess, the ZHIYUAN YuanZheng A3 has clinched the gold medal in the ‘Wushu – Tai Chi’ event at the second World Robot Expo. This victory adds to ZHIYUAN’s growing tally at the competition, bringing their total to 3 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and securing their top position on the medal leaderboard.

A Display of Advanced Robotics

The second World Robot Expo officially kicked off recently, with ZHIYUAN participating with its core products: JingLing G2, LingXi X2, and YuanZheng A3. In the recently concluded ‘Scene Competition’ segments, the ZHIYUAN JingLing G2 also achieved notable success, securing two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.

The gold medal-winning YuanZheng A3 is equipped with a new generation of self-developed joints. These joints boast a total peak current of 150A and an instantaneous power of 12kW. The robot’s main body has been significantly optimized, weighing in at 55 kilograms. This results in a power-to-weight ratio of 0.218 kW/kg, a figure ZHIYUAN claims is comparable to that of a million-dollar supercar.

Beyond Competition: Innovation and Versatility

The YuanZheng A3 demonstrates remarkable agility, capable of performing backflips and aerial walks. It is natively compatible with ZHIYUAN’s LingChuang platform, empowering users to create new actions anytime, anywhere, and to upload or download content, fostering a collaborative content ecosystem. The robot offers an impressive nominal battery life of up to 10 hours, setting a new industry record. Furthermore, it supports a rapid 10-second battery swap, enabling continuous operation for up to 24 hours.

This achievement follows another significant milestone for the YuanZheng A3. In June, the robot successfully demonstrated autonomous table tennis play, becoming the world’s first full-size bipedal humanoid robot to independently make decisions and complete a game of table tennis.

These advancements highlight ZHIYUAN’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of humanoid robotics, showcasing not only competitive excellence but also a dedication to developing versatile and intelligent machines capable of complex tasks and interactive performances.
