Xiaomi has announced that the closed beta testing for its AI interaction product, Xiaomi miclaw, codenamed “Lobster,” will conclude on September 21st. The company initiated the beta program in March, inviting users to test the AI tool built on Xiaomi’s MiMo large model.
Beta Testing Conclusion and User Transition
After nearly six months of rigorous testing and valuable feedback collection, Xiaomi has decided to bring the miclaw closed beta to an end. All Xiaomi miclaw services will officially cease on September 21st. This move signals a transition for users who have been actively participating in the AI product’s development.
To express gratitude for their support, Xiaomi is offering current miclaw beta testers an exclusive opportunity to join the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Beta program without needing to reapply. This allows them to experience the latest iteration of Xiaomi’s operating system.
Exclusive Perks for Beta Testers
Further incentivizing the transition, Xiaomi is providing a limited-time offer for miclaw beta testers who upgrade to Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Beta. They will receive enhanced access to the “Super Xiaoai Expert Mode” from September 1st to December 1st. This premium feature, normally priced at 149 yuan per month and currently available for 99 yuan per month or 34,000积分, will be gifted to eligible users.
To claim this benefit, users must complete a survey, available from now until August 30th at midnight. Failure to submit the survey within the specified timeframe will be considered a forfeiture of this special offer.
It’s important to note that Xiaomi miclaw is not compatible with Xiaomi HyperOS 4. Therefore, users upgrading to the HyperOS 4 Beta will automatically be withdrawn from the miclaw closed beta. However, this will not affect their eligibility to receive the Super Xiaoai Expert Mode gift. Users who wish to continue using miclaw can opt to remain on a Xiaomi HyperOS 3 version until the beta service ends on September 21st.

For users who decide not to upgrade to Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Beta at this time, Xiaomi has provided a clear opt-out process. Participants can withdraw from the miclaw beta program through the “Xiaomi Community – Official – Internal Test Center – My Internal Test” section. Should they change their minds later and wish to experience HyperOS 4 Beta, they can reapply through the “Xiaomi Community – Official – Internal Test Center” portal.
