A new Sony smartphone, identified by the model number XQ-GH54, has been spotted in the Geekbench database. Japanese outlet sumahodigest has confirmed this device to be the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 VIII.
The 2026 Xperia lineup is expected to include models starting with “XQ-GE” and “XQ-GH”. The XQ-GH54 is believed to be the European variant of the Xperia 10 VIII.
In Geekbench 7.0 tests, the device achieved a single-core score of 871 and a multi-core score of 3028. The motherboard is listed as “parrot”, and the CPU is identified as “SM6475”, which is the codename for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.
This indicates that the Xperia 10 VIII will likely continue to feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset found in its predecessor, the Xperia 10 VII. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, released in August 2024, is a mid-range processor built on a 4nm process, with its CPU cores reaching a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz.
