Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Pro, a new gimbal camera that the company is touting as the “industry’s first 4K vertical shooting gimbal camera.” This innovative device aims to cater to the growing demand for short-form video content with its specialized features.
Key Features of the Luna Pro
The Luna Pro boasts a range of impressive specifications, including:

- 1-Inch Sensor & Leica Lens: Equipped with a large 1-inch sensor and a Leica Summicron F1.8 optical lens, the Luna Pro promises exceptional image quality.
- 8K Dolby Vision: For professional-grade content, it supports 8K Dolby Vision recording.

Innovative Design and Functionality
The Luna Pro features a detachable remote control screen with a built-in wireless microphone, enabling high-definition image transmission and full camera control up to 20 meters away. It also supports an optional first-person head-tracking module, allowing the gimbal and lens to precisely follow head movements for quick, immersive recording.
Insta360 stated that the Luna Pro is designed to meet the demands of the short video era, offering intelligent vertical framing and one-click sharing of 9:16 footage.
Leica Color Science and AI Enhancements
Users can achieve a professional look straight out of the camera with three exclusive Leica color presets (Leica Chrome, Leica Natural, Leica Vivid) and six cinematic film filters. These can be easily shared and applied via QR codes. The camera also includes advanced AI-powered features for portrait optimization, intelligently identifying facial features while preserving skin texture and details. It offers customizable beauty settings and an industry-first independent color temperature sensor for accurate white balance under various lighting conditions. Additionally, a multi-skin tone AI adaptation algorithm prevents color distortion across different complexions.
Performance and Battery Life
The Luna Pro is powered by a 1550mAh battery, offering up to 4 hours of continuous shooting. It supports fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in just 23 minutes. The camera comes with 47GB of internal high-speed storage.
