Beeline communications operator (Ukrainian RadioSystems and Golden Telecom companies) expects the National Communications Regulatory Commission (NCRC) to assist in the negotiation process with communications operators regarding the rates of interconnection of networks (interconnect), Ukrainian News has learned from the head of Beeline public relations service, Iryna Lelychenko.

“We rely on the regulator’s assistance in settling this question [conclusion of interconnect agreements] and the sides will be able to sign long-term contracts on mutually beneficial conditions,” she said.

As to Lelychenko, at the moment Beeline has 12 agreements with communications operators but with several operators they still disagree on the size of interconnect rates and terms of interconnection contracts.

The press service head did not name the operators with whom they still have not come to an agreement, but according to the Communications Commission Beeline is in talks with mobile operators MTS Ukraine and Astelit (life:) brand).

Absence of contracts with the operators does not affect subscribers as there are no problems with direct traffic transmission at the moment, Lelychenko added hereto.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on June 24 again defined eight communication operators monopolies at the market of interconnect (Beeline among them).

The National Communications Regulatory Commission obligated the interconnect market monopolists to settle mutual accounts for the access service at the Commission’s rates.
