Beeline Begins Providing “Beeline Internet at Home” Service in Poltava

    The Beeline mobile communications operator (the Ukrainian Radiosystems and Golden Telecom companies) has begun providing the “Beeline Internet at Home” service in Poltava.

    Beeline announced this in a statement.

    Beeline’s fiber-optic network in Poltava presently covers more than 90 high-rise buildings consisting more than 12,000 apartments (households).

    The service is based on the FTTB technology. Connection to it is free and does not require installation of a modem.

    Poltava is the twentieth city in which Beeline is providing the “Beeline Internet at Home” service.

    It also provides the service in Kyiv, Brovary (Kyiv region), Vyshneve (Kyiv region), Dnipropetrovsk, Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region), Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk (based on the ADSL technology), Lviv, Odesa, Lutsk, Kharkiv, Nyzhin (Chernihiv region), Sevastopol, Kremenchuk (Poltava region), Chernivtsi, Uzhhorod, Mykolaiv, and Luhansk.

    As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the number of subscribers to Beeline’s broadband internet service increased by 18.4% to 145,000 in the first quarter of 2010.
