The Donetsk-based Ukraina television and radio broadcasting company (TRK Ukraina) intends to launch a film channel before the end of 2010.
TRK Ukraina’s press service announced this to Ukrainian News.
The television company is presently preparing the package of documents necessary to obtain a broadcasting license.
The leadership of the channel plans to appoint Ivan Bukreev as the head of its department of strategic planning.
The press service did not disclose details of the name of the channel, its exact launching date, and the contents of its programs.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, TRK Ukraina announced in March that it intended to launch a television channel called Football Extra and a news channel in 2010.
TRK Ukraina, which is a closed joint-stock company, is part of the System Capital Management company (Donetsk), which is 100%-owned by businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
