The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the draft of a Ukrainian-Russian agreement on cooperation on use and development of Russia’s Global Satellite Navigation System (GLONASS).
The Cabinet of Ministers authorized the Ukrainian National Space Agency’s General Director Yurii Alekseev to sign the agreement, un.ua says.
The agreement will outline the areas and nature of cooperation on use of the GLONASS system and creation of a land-based Ukrainian functional supplement to the system.
Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev plans to attend a meeting of a Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission from May 17 to 18.
