National Television Council Selects Three TV Companies to Broadcast at Three TV Channels and Four Radio Companies to Broadcast at Eight Radio Frequencies

    tvThe National State Television and Radio Broadcasting Council has selected three TV companies to broadcast at three TV channels and four radio companies to broadcast at eight radio frequencies, the Council said.

    On April 9, the Council announced the results of the tender for reception of licenses for broadcasting using free TV channels and frequencies.

    In particular, Simferopol-based Krym state television and radio broadcasting company obtained license for broadcasting at the 36th TV channel in the region of Rybachie (Crimea), Kyiv-based Kyivtelemontazh company for broadcasting at the 1st TV channel in Vinnytsia, Sumy-based Vidikon TV and radio company for broadcasting at the 10th TV channel in Konotop, Sumy region.

    In accordance with the tender results, Kyiv-based Leader TV and radio company obtained the licenses for radio frequencies of 100.2 MHz in Skolyne-15 (Crimea), 70.4 MHz in Yalta (Crimea), 106.7 MHz in Kirovohrad; the national radio company of Ukraine for frequency of 102.3 MHz in Kamysh Zaria town (Zaporizhia region), two licenses for 101.2 MHz frequency in Oleksandria and Smolyne (both in Kirovohrad region); Kyiv-based IF Media Group TV and radio company — for 69.68 MHz frequency in Kyiv; Lviv-based Primemedia TV and radio company for 102.1 MHz frequency in Lviv.

    The national council also reserved the 71.0 MHz in Mykolaiv, as the winner was not selected.

    As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the National Television and Radio Council comprises eight members. Four members of the national council are appointed by the Verkhovna Rada and four members are appointed by the president of Ukraine for a five-year period.
