Sberbank, ranking among Ukrainian large commercial banks, has introduced a service of payment for mobile communications through ATM’s.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the financial institution, the wording of which was made available to the agency.
“Sberbank has introduced a service of replenishment of mobile phone accounts at cash machines of the bank,” reads the statement.
According to the statement, the payment for mobile communications through cash machines of the bank envisages no commissions. The payments are possible starting with UAH 50.
“A transaction can be made by following the tips of the menu of cash machines of the Sberbank joint stock company. Holders of cards should select ‘Payments’ in the menu, the operation ‘Standard Payment’, select an mobile communications operator, write the phone number and a sum for replenishment without kopecks,” reads the statement.
After the confirmation of the transactions a selected sum will be written off from the card account of a client and on-line information about the replenishment will be sent to the mobile communications operator.
The service of replenishment of the mobile communications accounts is provided to the following operators: MTS, Kyivstar, Ukrainian RadioSystems (Beeline brand), and Astelit (life:) brand).
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Bank Kyiv in February 2010 introduced a service of payment for mobile communications through ATM’s.
The net assets of the financial institution were estimated at UAH 6,197.7 million as of January 1, 2010, the credits and debts of clients were valued at UAH 4,842.3 million, and the equity of shareholders was estimated at UAH 1,061.4 million.
The financial institution finished 2009 with a net profit of UAH 10.105 million.
The Russian Sberbank bank controls the Sberbank public joint stock company.
