There will be more Ukrainian drones at the front. The Army of Drones held the FPV Super Bowl, which was attended by 14 UAV manufacturers.
FPV (First Person View) is one of the areas of aeromodeling in which the pilot controls the model by watching the image transmitted from the model’s camera through special video glasses or a monitor.
18 FPV drones demonstrated their capabilities to representatives of the Defense Forces. Combat pilots and school instructors chose the 3 most powerful drones. They coped with the tasks best – from the speed of deployment to the quality of target destruction and work in the conditions of electronic warfare. This will help developers to contract the “birds” to the army.
FPV drones are a competitive advantage over the enemy. They are fast and maneuverable, capable of hitting targets with sniper-like accuracy, Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said:
“We have many cases where such a drone for a few hundred dollars destroys Russian equipment worth millions.”
From the very start of the Drone Army, the team has been working with UAV developers 24/7. They are doing everything to ensure that Ukrainian drones are contracted, approved for operation and strengthen our soldiers as soon as possible.
Thanks to your support of the Army of Drones through UNITED24 and donor assistance, the state has purchased about 2000 FPV drones. Another 2000 are under contract. More to come.
