Millions of Ukrainians were forced to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine. The Ministry of Digital Transformation responded to the problems of citizens with online services. Services for IDPs appeared in Diia in a timely manner so that Ukrainians did not have to go to social security agencies but could receive public services conveniently.
Since the launch of the services:
- 1.4+ million Ukrainians have used the comprehensive service for IDPs,
- more than 200 thousand IDP certificates have been canceled,
- 110+ thousand have changed their place of residence in Diia.
The services of changing the actual place of residence and canceling the IDP certificate are fully automatic. A few minutes and you’re done! No need to wait for an official’s decision.
With the cancellation of the certificate, people often did not go to government agencies offline and did not cancel their status when they returned home. For example, during the first day of operation, more Ukrainians used the service in Diia than in a month offline.
The services are implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation jointly with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine with the support of the “Action Support Project” implemented by UNDP in Ukraine with the support of Sweden.
